S Club 7 rose to fame in the late 1990s before separating in 2003 and were known for hits such as “Never Had a Dream Come True” and “Don’t Stop Movin’.

It was announced that last week, Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jo O’Meara, Hannah Spearritt, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee and Bradley McIntosh would reunite for the 25th anniversary of the band.

Rachel has now shared her excitement for the reunion after a busy year for the singer and television personality.

After 12 years married to her childhood sweetheart Alex Bourne, the pair shocked fans when they decided to announce their separation.

Now the singer believes that returning to music will be good for her following the heartbreak of her marriage break-up.

When the couple separated last summer, Rachel shared that although they “are no longer partners in marriage, we will remain partners in parenthood to our beautiful girls and continue with love and respect for each other.”

During an interview with OK! Magazine, she shared that she will be using time with S Club 7 to “reinvent herself”.

The singer revealed she’s “excited to be going back to music” and is viewing the reunion of the pop group as a “new chapter” in her life.

A source close to the singer added that they hoped the tour will “give her a purpose. She needs something to focus on to keep herself busy.”

Rachel also shared that she has been focusing on her family and children despite recently moving out of their family home.

SClub 7 will be reuniting to perform a series of concerts across the UK and Ireland after their previous success in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The iconic British pop-group had four UK number-one singles before reaching global success with over 10 million albums sold worldwide.

Speaking on The One Show last week, the group shared their excitement at seeing a resurgence of interest in their music on video platform TikTok.

Rachel told hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas: “We are very excited to say we’re going back out on the sound in October. We are celebrating 25 years which is just crazy,”
