The Love Island winner, 28, from Islington was eliminated on Sunday night (5 January) with her skating partner Brendyn Hatfield, 36.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu was left in tears after competing in the skate-off against Patsy Palmer and Matt Evers.

The reality star appeared emotional as she shared her gratitude to people who voted for her to stay and for the show itself.

Ekin-Su said: “Thank you for everyone who’s been supporting us from day one. You know it’s been the most amazing time of my life and I hope to tell my grandkids about this journey one day.

Brendyn also thanked fans for their support, adding: “I think we’re all, you know everybody here, me especially like, just proud of everything you’ve put yourself through and then got out in front of millions of people, performed.”

The reality star was also quick to note her injury, telling fans “even with an injured leg” as she lifted up her skirt to show her thigh.

Brendyn then continued: “You know, you came in and you just gave it everything you had, and you can’t ask for more.”

Ekin-Su finished the video by saying: “And it is a skating competition and you know, one of us needed to come out and it was me. And I wish Patsy the best, you know she’s great and I love everyone in here”

The video finished as Ekin-Su appeared to get emotional from her elimination with Brendyn comforting his skating partner.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has caused controversy since joining the show, with her first skate receiving over 100 OFCOM complaints.

People were quick to note the reality star’s ‘inappropriate’ outfit and racy routine that many thought should not have been shown pre-watershed.

Ekin-Su clapped back at the complaints about her outfit, telling The Sun: “You know what? If you have ‘em flaunt them.”

“I mean if you’ve got a nice bum and you look sexy in a unitard, why not. Who cares?”

The reality star, who won Love Island with her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti last year, admitted she had been left “crying for days” after she had found herself in the first skate-off of the series on week two of the show.

Speaking to host Holly Willoughby, Ekin-Su said: “I’m not gonna lie, I was really upset over the past two days. I questioned myself and what I had done wrong.

“I’m just like you know what, stop this crying Ekin. You are a strong woman, take on the notes from the judges, work hard and I really wanted to prove myself.

“We’ve been working really hard and I am here today.”

Since her elimination from Dancing on Ice at the weekend, boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti has shared his plans to treat his girlfriend to some time away.

In a post that showed the couple kissing, Davide shared: “Don’t worry baby.. It’s now time for us to have an holiday”
