A mother and father are set to stand trial, accused of murdering their 10-week-old baby daughter in Enfield.

Darren Hurrell, 25, of Meadow Lane, Derby, and Lauren Saint-George, 25, of Bonnington House, Enfield, will appear for trial at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday, June 13.

The charges follow an Met Police investigation into the death of little Lily-Mai Saint George, who died on February 2, 2018.

She had been born prematurely and spent the first two months of her life in hospital, before being discharged into her parents’ care on January 25 that year.

Hurrell and Saint-George were both charged on June 1, 2021 with the offences of murder; causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable adult; manslaughter; assault, ill-treatment, neglect or abandonment of a child or young person to cause unnecessary suffering or injury.
