Hide AdDaejaun Campbell was found with stab injuries on Eglinton Road in Woolwich just after 6.30pm on Sunday September 22. Despite the efforts of officers and paramedics at the scene, he sadly died a short time later.
Daejaun is the ninth teenager to have lost his life to violence in the capital this year so far.
2021 was the worst year for teenage killings in London on record, with 30 young victims losing their lives.

Hide AdIn 2022, this number was halved, with 14 teenage deaths recorded. However in 2023 the number of teenagers losing their lives to violence increased with a total of 22 deaths recorded.
City Hall says it has invested in several local partnership programmes and is supporting dedicated neighbourhood police officers to help tackle youth violence in London.

Hide AdTyler Donnelly, 19
Tyler Donnelly was found dead in Hanworth Park, Feltham, Hounslow, at around 7.40am on January 25. He had been stabbed in the neck. Police said he had left his home at 9.10pm the previous day and rode his bike along Elmwood Avenue. He never returned home.
Daniel Matos, 21,of Hounslow, Keith Preddie, 32, of Feltham, and Joshua Cowley, 27, of Hounslow, were charged with murder on January 30.

Hide AdNathan Bawuah, 17
Nathan Bawuah, 17, was stabbed in Hackney Road near the junction with Cremer Street, Hackney, at around 10.53pm on February 17. He died at the scene. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on February 19 and charged with murder.
Daniel Anjorin, 14
Daniel Anjorin, 14, was stabbed during a major incident in Hainault, Redbridge, on April 30.
Police were alerted shortly before 7am to reports of a van being driven at a member of the public and into a fence in Laing Close.

Hide AdThe driver, who was armed with a sword, got out of the van and slashed a 33-year-old man, causing a wound to the neck. The attacker then left and attacked Daniel from behind as the teenager was walking to school, inflicting fatal injuries to his neck and chest.
Police arrived at the scene 12 minutes after the first 999 call and attempted to give first aid to Daniel. The attacker then ambushed a female police officer at the scene before fleeing through a series of neighbouring gardens.
Several minutes later the attacker broke into a neighbouring house occupied by a couple and their four-year-old daughter in Laing Close, and caused injuries to the neck and arm of a 35-year-old man. He went on to stab a male police officer who was attempting to arrest him.

Hide AdPolice used pepper spray and Taser before the suspect was arrested in Thurlow Gardens at around 7.20am.
The suspect, Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, a dual Spanish Brazilian national of Newham, was initially taken to hospital for treatment before being transferred to police custody.
On May 1 Monzo was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary, and possession of a bladed article. The Metropolitan Police said they did not believe the incident was terror-related and initial checks showed no record of the suspect being involved in previous incidents or having contact with the police.

Hide AdDaniel’s family said in a statement: “We as a family are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Daniel. It is difficult for us at this time to process what has happened to him and that he will never come home. Daniel had left the house for school and then he was gone. Our children have lost their loving and precious brother and we have lost the most loved and amazing son. We would like to send our best wishes to the other victims of this unthinkable incident. We would also like to thank the local community for all of their support during this most difficult time.”
Kamari Johnson, 16
Kamari Johnson, 16, was stabbed in Bourne Avenue, Hayes, Hillingdon, at around 1.30pm on May 24. He died at the scene. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on May 25 and charged with murder. The Metropolitan Police continue to appeal for information from witnesses who were in the vicinity of Bourne Avenue and Nine Acre Close in Hayes at the time.
19-year-old man
A 19-year-old man was found stabbed after police were called to a fight in Bell Street near the junction with Edgware Road in Lisson Grove, City of Westminster, at around 10.40pm on June 4. He died at the scene. The cause of death was recorded as a stab wound to the heart. Witnesses reported at least one gunshot was heard during the incident. Two men were arrested and released on police bail pending further investigation.

Hide AdAhmed Habib, 19
Ahmed Habib, 19, was found stabbed in a car in Stroud Green Road, at the junction of Tollington Park, Finsbury Park, at around 2.50am on July 11. He died at the scene. The driver of the car was also found injured but was discharged from hospital after treatment.
Police believe that they were attacked in Seven Sisters Road, close to Tonge Park, in the London borough of Islington, before driving to Stroud Green Road on the boundary with the borough of Haringey. Kevin Peraj, 23, of Islip Street, Kentish Town, was charged with murder on July 17.
Rene Graham, 15
Rene Graham, 15, was shot in Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, near Hazlewood Crescent, Ladbroke Grove, Kensington and Chelsea, at around 7.20pm on July 21. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The annual Park Lime event was taking place in the park at the time of the shooting. Four men aged between 20 and 25 were arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail. DCI Christina Jessah said: “We are keen to speak to other witnesses who were in the area at the time of the shooting, There was an event taking place and it’s possible people may have been taking photos or filming. Please check to see if you have captured anything that may help detectives.”

Pharrell Garcia, 15, was stabbed in Stellman Close, Stoke Newington, Hackney, at around 4.05pm on July 23. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder the same evening. On July 25 the suspect was charged with murder.

His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Jacob Losiewicz, 18, of Church Manor Way, Abbey Wood, has been charged with murder.
A second man in his 50s who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge, the Metropolitan Police said.
