Hackney stabbing: Teenager charged with murder of Pharrell Garcia, 15

Police were called at around 4.05pm on Tuesday July 23 to Stellman Close, Hackney, where they found Pharell with stab wounds.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Hide AdThe suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Stratford Youth Court on Friday.
Det Ch Sup James Conway said: “Tragically, 15-year-old Pharrell lost his life after he was stabbed in Stoke Newington.
“We have informed his family, who are understandably heartbroken, and specially trained officers are supporting them at this unimaginably difficult time."

Hide AdHe said detectives had been working "around the clock to start to piece together what happened".
This is the second teenager murder in London this week.
Rene Graham, also 15, was shot dead in Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park, Ladbroke Grove at about 7.20pm on Sunday.
Four men, two aged 21 and the others aged 20 and 25, have been arrested on suspicion of Rene’s murder and are in custody.
So far this year a total of eight teenagers have been killed in the capital.
