Ottilie is a 24-year-old trainee journalist excited to be writing about her hometown. Currently, she is completing her NCTJ training with Press Association, before pursuing a career in digital journalism. Previously, Ottilie has worked for the Tab Nottingham, covering pieces from the controversy surrounding the appointment of a pro-life university chaplain to the opinions of European Erasmus students on Brexit. Her feature on the treatment of women in the world of weightlifting was published on the National Tab page, as well as the University Law Society magazine. Ottilie was born and raised in Hackney, studying at schools in Hackney Central and Camden, and lives in the east London borough to this day. She graduated from the University of Nottingham last year with a BA in Spanish and History; being raised bilingual with a German father has instilled in her a love for languages. Ottilie has spent time living in both Zaragoza, Spain and Berlin, Germany, working primarily as a nanny in each city. These experiences have inspired her to continue working abroad in the future, though hopefully in a journalistic capacity. On a weekend, you can find Ottilie deadlifting a new personal best, bingeing the newest TV drama or discovering her next favourite food spot.
