Stormzy is throwing Croydon residents a free Christmas party in his hometown.
The celebration this Friday, December 3, is the first party to be held by the rapper from Thornton Heath’s charity #Merky Foundation, and will take place at Fairfield Halls.

Hide AdTickets are available free of charge to residents of the Borough of Croydon.
The event will be split into two time slots throughout the day, with the first half for those for four years of age and above, beginning at 4.30pm and finishing at 6.30pm.
The second half of the event will be for those 10 years and older, beginning at 7pm and finishing around 9.30pm.
The party will include games, performances, tombola, workshops and Stormzy will also be there to join in the fun.

Hide AdThe #Merky Books team are donating 500 copies of its first children’s book, Superheroes: Inspiring Stories of Secret Strength, which is a celebratory collection of modern day heroes curated by Stormzy.
The comic strip-style book includes athlete Dina Asher-Smith, comedian Mo Gilligan, writer Candice Carty-Williams, Great British Bake Off star Liam Charles, and former footballer Ian Wright.
The author and performance poet Sophia Thakur will be performing during the evening event and the book’s illustrator – Denzell Dankwah – will run drop-in drawing workshops for children throughout the day.
Tickets are only available to Croydon residents and there’s a limit of four tickets per household.

Hide AdStormzy launched the #Merky Foundation in 2019, which followed the Stormzy Scholarship, an annual grant to fund black British students to go to the University of Cambridge.
In June 2020, Vossi Bop rapper announced that he pledged £10 million, over 10 years, to organisations, charities and movements that are committed to fighting racial inequality, justice reform and black empowerment within the UK.
