25 years of London Eye and O2 Arena
2025 is set to be a momentous year in London as some of its most iconic landmarks including the London Eye and the O2 Arena celebrate milestone anniversaries.
Then known as the Millennium Wheel and Millennium Dome, both London attractions opened in 2000 to celebrate the turn of the millennium.

Hide AdWhile the London Eye has remained relatively unchanged over the years, the Millennium Dome, after its year-long themed experience in 2000, became the now familiar events arena - The O2 in 2007.
London premieres to look out for
The capital is set to host the premieres for some of 2025’s biggest films from the new Bridget Jones movie to 28 Years Later.
London’s famous Leicester Square will no doubt be at the centre of celebrations over the year as some of the biggest movie stars walk the carpet in the city.
Leicester Square the spot is home to four main cinemas - Odeon, Vue, Cineworld, and Odeon West End, which typically take turns to host premiere events.

London Elvis Presley fans will be able to see a life-sized digital projection of the star perform right before their eyes, thanks to the new Elvis Evolution concert experience coming to the capital.
Elvis Mania is set to take over the capital this spring as a new immersive AI-aided concert of the late king of rock n' roll opens in the city.
The Elvis Evolution show will open to fans in May 2025 at the ExCeL’s new immersive waterside district.
Royal Observatory Greenwich turns 350
After the spot’s recent temporary transformation for the Wicked Movie, 2025 is also set to be a momentous year for Greenwich.

Hide AdIts famous Royal Observatory will celebrate its 350th anniversary this year. Founded by Charles II by way of a Royal Warrant in 1675, it is the oldest scientific institution in Britain still standing.
Welcoming visitors from far and wide to be at the centre of world time aka Greenwich Mean Time they can also stand on the meridian line which is where all distances east and west have been measured since the 1800s.
Clueless, Hercules and 101 Dalmatians to takeover West End in 2025
London’s theatre scene is also set to welcome some new productions this year including some hotly anticipated movie adaptations.
Clueless will be one of the first to hit the West End as it opens at the Trafalgar Theatre this February.

Lido festival launches at Victoria Park
London is set to welcome a new music festival this summer as Lido has its first year at Victoria Park.
Lido Festival will make its debut at Victoria Park this June as it takes over the east London green space for two weekends of music and events with headliners including Charli XCX.
Named after Victoria Park’s historic Lido Field, the festival will be the latest event to join the spaces’ summer music schedule alongside All Points East.

Hide AdNew V&A East Storehouse opens
The V&A family of museums will expand this year as a new venue opens up in the east of the city.
The V&A East Storehouse will open at the end of May in Stratford and is set to offer Londoners a new kind of museum experience which goes behind the scenes of traditional museum collections.
Spanning across 4 floors there will be 250,000 objects, 350,000 library books and 1,000 archives from the V&A’s various collections to discover.
