Ikea is set to celebrate its iconic blue carrier bags in a new London pop up.

A pop-up experience dedicated to Ikea’s classic cobalt shopping bag, the Frakta, is coming to London’s Oxford Street.

While London’s famous shopping street is already home to a large-scale version of the bag ahead of the launch of the Oxford Street store, city locals will be able to see the household staple in a new light thanks to a new pop-up experience.

Named the Hus of Frakta, what the pop-up experience will entail is yet to be confirmed but it has been described as a concept store dedicated to the bag and blends high fashion with democratic design.

The pop-up will be open on Oxford Street into the new year and will precede the new store on the same street, which is slated to open in Spring 2025.

When does the London Ikea Oxford Street pop-up Hus of Frakta open?

The pop-up will open its doors to London shoppers next Thursday (November 28).

Where is the London Ikea Oxford Street pop-up Hus of Frakta?

The Hus of Frakta pop-up will be located right next door to the new Ikea Oxford Street store which you won’t be able to miss as the shop front is a giant version of the blue bag.
