Guinness has confirmed that its long-awaited Open Gate Brewery London will officially open its doors on 11 December, transforming Covent Garden’s historic Old Brewer’s Yard into a world-class brewery, bar, and dining experience.

The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London will welcome visitors from 11 December, offering immersive tours, exclusive brews and top-tier dining in the heart of Covent Garden.

Located at Old Brewer’s Yard, a site with brewing history dating back to the 1700s, the 54,000 sq ft venue will combine the brand’s Irish heritage with a distinctly London flavour.

The new site will feature a microbrewery led by Master Brewer Hollie Stephenson, serving rotating craft beers, stouts, IPAs and seasonal specials. Guests will be able to enjoy classics like Guinness Draught alongside new small-batch creations, including low-alcohol and non-stout varieties.

Visitors can also take part in a 360-degree immersive tour, learn to pour the perfect pint, and explore the Brewer’s Room tasting sessions curated by Stephenson herself.

Two restaurants led by acclaimed chef Pip Lacey (formerly of Michelin-starred Murano) will anchor the experience.

Gilroy’s Loft, named after the artist behind Guinness’s famous advertising campaigns, will offer rooftop dining with views across London, celebrating British coastal produce from oysters to line-caught fish, all of course, paired with Guinness.

The Porter’s Table will focus on shared plates and locally sourced British ingredients, inspired by Covent Garden’s historic market porters.

Down in Old Brewer’s Yard, chef Calum Franklin will serve handmade pies and pints in a relaxed courtyard bar designed for drop-ins, live music and pop-up events.

There’s a shopping and events space too!

The site will also include two dedicated retail spaces: Guinness Good Things on Neal Street will feature exclusive collaborations in fashion, art and lifestyle, alongside limited-edition Guinness merchandise.

The Store, located within the brewery, will stock Guinness classics, apparel and collectables.

Elsewhere, The Guinness Vaults on Langley Street will open as an underground event space in 2026, hosting cultural and community programming.

Deb Caldow, Guinness GB Marketing Director, said: “The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London has been years in the making, and we’re thrilled that the moment has almost arrived. It will be a place to celebrate heritage, embrace innovation and invite visitors to discover new flavours, experiences and stories.”
