Next up for West Ham in a short trip to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday to take on Brentford. The Bees have lost their last two against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City but have shown their attacking capabilities with wins over Crystal Palace and Southampton.
Boost for in-form Brentford forward
Thomas Frank is without the injured Yoane Wissa, who is sidelined for a couple of months with an ankle injury, but Bryan Mbeumo is a man in form who could cause problems for the Hammers. The 25-year-old already has four top flight goals to his name this season.

Hide AdAlvarez, who LondonWorld rated 3/10 and branded 'foolish' for his midweek showing, is a key man in the West Ham midfield when it comes to breaking up moves. The London outfit forked out £35 million to sign the player from Ajax in 2023 and he has gone on to make 47 appearances for the club.
The midfielder picked up a first yellow card against Liverpool in 67th minute with his side 2-1 down. A second booking followed just 12 minutes later with West Ham then losing 3-1.
Alvarez to return for Wolves clash
Down to 10 men, Lopetegui's side stood little chance of reversing the deficit at Anfield and two more goals from Cody Gakpo followed in injury time to rub salt into the wounds of West Ham.
The two yellow cards mean a one-match ban for Alvarez, who will be ineligible to face Brentford. He could return for the meeting with Wolves at the start of October.
