Chelsea comfortably beat West Ham 3-0 to go second to on the league table but they had more reason to be happy.

Chelsea co-owners Behdad Eghbali and Todd Boehly were spotted together for the first time this season at London Stadium as the Blues swept past West Ham. The duo, who have reportedly considered buying each other's shares, were seen together in what will be a massive boost for everyone at the club as the season progresses.

Boehly, who was the face of the project, is reportedly unhappy with the current direction of the club and wanted to reassess the recruitment process. Meanwhile, Eghbali is determined to see the project through, believing that the huge investment in youth will eventually benefit the team in the future.

Both are successful businessmen in their own right, but without a doubt, the sight of them together during the win will be a massive lift for the fans, the manager, and his coaching staff.

Enzo Maresca has remained positive despite the off-field developments, revealing to LondonWorld that he’s recently spoken to both co-owners.

He told LondonWorld ahead of the game against Bournemouth: “I spoke with Todd when we played City, more or less. I spoke with Behdad days ago. I’m speaking with both; there is no problem at all. As I said, my focus is on the pitch because it's the only thing I can control.”

LondonWorld has also learned that Eghbali led the charge to replace Mauricio Pochettino last summer, and his departure paved the way for Maresca to leave his role at Leicester and move to Chelsea.

Maresca has had a brilliant start to life at Chelsea, with the team sitting second in the league after just five games. Not many would have predicted this success when he was first appointed.
