As for Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner has brought the feel-good factor back to Selhurst Park and his team ended the 2023/24 campaign in solid form. The Eagles ended in 10th position.

The London pair both have the chance to bring in some new faces in the upcoming transfer window. With that in mind, here is a look at some of the latest transfer news and rumours...

West Ham boost

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen ‘wants to stay’ at the London Stadium amid reported interest from fellow top flight outfit Newcastle United, according to a report by The Mirror. The England international has no intention of leaving his current club anytime soon which is a boost for Lopetegui.

The 27-year-old, who rose up through the ranks at local side Hereford, has been a key player for the Hammers over the past three-and-a-half years. He has made 202 appearances for them in all competitions to date and has chipped in with 60 goals, 20 of which came last season.

Bowen made his name at Hull City and broke into their first-team as a youngster in 2017 in the Championship. He then went on to score 54 goals in 131 outings for the Tigers before Moyes handed him a move up a division.

The attacker has since adapted to life at the top level with ease and is under contract until 2030 meaning West Ham are under absolutely no pressure to cash in on him for next few years.

Crystal Palace players wanted

Crystal Palace duo Franco Umeh-Chibueze and Joe Whitworth are attracting interest from clubs in the Football League, according to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon page. The Eagles have decisions to make regarding what to do with the pair.

Umeh-Chibueze, 19, is wanted by Blackburn Rovers in the second tier on loan. They managed to secure survival under John Eustace’s guidance and are eyeing some reinforcements to their ranks.

The teenager joined Crystal Palace in February last year from Cork City and has since become a hit with their Under-21’s side. The Irishman has found the net on 10 occasions in 21 competitive games at that level so far and could now test himself in senior football.

As for Whitworth, he has risen up through the academy ranks of the Eagles and Nixon has reported that League One pair Exeter City and Shrewsbury Town are admirers. League Two side Doncaster Rovers have also been credited with an interest following their recent loss in the play-offs to Crewe Alexandra.

A temporary exit for the goalkeeper would help him get some experience under his belt and boost his development. The 20-year-old has represented England at Under-18’s level in the past.
