There are just under six days for Premier League clubs to complete their transfer business. The January window shuts at 11pm on Monday and it is shaping up to be a late scramble for a number of clubs across London and beyond.
Mikel Arteta is seeking a new striker to bolster his Arsenal attack as they aim to close the gap to leaders Liverpool. Graham Potter is still settling in at the London Stadium as he weighs up his options of what to do in the market to strengthen for the remainder of the campaign.

While Potter will be keen to add to his squad, reports late on Tuesday claimed that Luis Guilherme was expected to leave the Hammers before the deadline. West Ham agreed a £25m deal to sign the winger from Palmeiras in June, as the Brazilian penned a five-year contract at the London Stadium. He has totalled just 45 Premier League minutes across five appearances, with all of those coming from the bench. His only other appearance was in the FA Cup defeat against Aston Villa earlier this month.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that an offer worth up to £12.5m has now been made by Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk but they are not the only suitors. He wrote on X: “Shakhtar Donetsk have sent €15m package proposal to West Ham for Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme. There are more clubs keen with Luis now expected to leave WHUFC [sic] in the next days.”
Guilherme had previously been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League. The £12.5m bid from Shakhtar is half of what the Hammers paid for the forward and it remains to be seen how much of their losses the Irons are willing to cut.
Celtic want Tierney this month
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed a deal is in place for Arsenal player Kieran Tierney to return to the Scottish champions in the summer but the former Liverpool and Leicester City boss is keen for the left-back to make the move north this month.

Asked about the possibility of a January move, the Northern Irishman added: “I don’t know. We have prepared that for the summer and I don’t want to speak too much on it [because] with the greatest of respect he is not a Celtic player here and now. But if we were able to do it, of course we would like to but that is not in our control at this moment in time.”
Tierney has seen his minutes at Arsenal limited in recent months despite returning from injury at the end of November. He has been on the bench for the last 11 Premier League games but only come off it twice. He is out of contract at the end of the season and has been free to speak with clubs outside of England and has been tipped for a return to Celtic for a number of weeks. He joined the Gunners from the Glasgow club for a £25m fee in 2019 and despite some flashes of his quality, constant injury problems have hampered his progress in North London.
