Arsenal 'call' Premier League club about striker as two Serie A forwards offered

Duran call

Arsenal have made a call about Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, according to Fabrizio Romano. He said on his YouTube show: “For Jhon Duran, let me tell you something. West Ham had a bid rejected. Interest from several clubs around Europe. What I’m told is also Arsenal made a call in recent weeks to understand the situation of Jhon Duran because Sesko, at the moment, no green light from Leipzig.

Strikers offered

Arsenal have reportedly been offered a number of forwards this month as they look to land a new frontman. The Boot Room report that Fiorentina’s Moise Kean and Atalanta forward Mario Retegui have been offered.

Kean was previously at Everton, but he has scored 12 goals in 19 games for Fiorentina, while Retegui has recent Champions League experience and has scored 16 goals in 20 league games.

Double injury boost

Arsenal have been handed a double fitness boost ahead of their clash with Girona, with two players potentially set for a return. Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino were both in training on Tuesday ahead of the flight to Spain.

Odegaard missed the weekend’s win over Wolves through illness, while Merino missed out with a knock. Both could return to play some sort of part against Girona.
