French side 'submit tempting bid' for £15m rated West Ham striker ahead of transfer deadline day

West Ham forward Said Benrahma is closing in on exit from the club today.

West Ham have accepted a tempting bid from Lyon for Said Benrahma with the forward now expected to complete a loan move to the French club before the transfer window shuts tonight, LondonWorld understands.

Benrahma joined West Ham from Brentford in October 2020 and his current deal runs to 2026 but he's failed to nail down a starting spot this season with the arrival of Mohammed Kudus and James Ward-Prowse further limiting his minutes on the field.

Sources say If the deal goes through, it would include an obligation to buy for £15m, with the final decision now in the 28-year-old Algerian's hands. Benrahma was surprisingly left out of Algeria's AFCON squad but he failed to make use of the time staying back at the club following his sending-off against Bristol City on 16 January.

He scored the penalty as West Ham beat Fiorentina to win the Europa Conference League and cement his legacy as one of the top performers for David Moyes' side in their record-making European campaign.

West Ham looking busy before the transfer window shuts:

The Hammers have shipped out seven players already including Thilo Kehrer from the first team and

Krisztian Hegyi, Gideon Kouda, Conor Coventry , Thierry Nevers, Archie Woods and Callum Marshall from the the club. Real Betis are also interested in Spain midfielder Pablo Fornals. They had a bid for him rejected earlier in the week but a second offer is expected, with West Ham willing to let Fornals leave given he has started just four Premier League games this season.
