West Ham picked up another big win on Thursday night, defeating strugglers Leicester City in comfortable fashion. The Irons were two up by half-time thanks to a goal from Tomas Soucek and an own goal by Jannick Vestergaard, and that was that for the scoring.
Any danger of relegation is now likely out of sight, with the Hammers 16 points clear of the bottom three, and Graham Potter can now focus on building momentum and making serious strides towards and improvements ahead of starting afresh next season.

Hide AdWest Ham have now won back-to-back games thanks to the win over Arsenal last weekend and Thursday night’s home win over Leicester, and winger Jarrod Bowen was key to both of those wins.
That’s something former Hammers star Joe Cole took notice of while on TNT Sports. He said: “Bowen, that man was absolutely outstanding, a talisman for the team.” It’s something pundit Ally McCoist also highlighted recently, saying: “He just gives them something special, doesn’t he? Good, good player, he’s been a great signing I’ve got to say.”
Bowen has eight goals and five assists across all competitions this season, which is a solid return when playing in a lower bottom half team, and the 28-year-old is going to remain a vital piece for Potter going forward.
Speaking about the forward recently, Potter said: “I’m delighted for him (Bowen), and I think there’s still more to come from him, certainly in terms of goals. He’s been brilliant to work with. We had to be patient for him to be able to come back into the team when we came in, because of his injury, but he’s our captain and he leads in a really good way.”
