West Ham will resume their Europa Conference League campaign this evening as they travel to Belgium to take on KAA Gent. The Irons’ spell in the competition this season has been a positive break from a tough time in the Premier League.

West Ham breezed through the Round of 16 after beating AEK Larnaca 6-0 over two legs and head into today’s game having conceded only four goals since the start of the group stage. Meanwhile, Gent enjoyed a 4-1 thrashing of Instabul Basaksehir last month progress to the quarter-finals, despite only managing a draw on home soil.

Alessio Castro-Montes could also feature on the right of a back three after starring against Union SG at the weekend, while Kamil Piatkowski could drop to the bench after starting both legs against Istanbul Baseksehir.

West Ham

David Moyes has confirmed that Lucas Paqueta will return to the squad for today’s Europa Conference League clash after missing West Ham’s win over Fulham at the weekend. Flynn Downes will also return to the fold after serving his suspension against AEK Larnaca.

Meanwhile, Gianluca Scamacca remains sidelined after suffering a knee injury last month. The striker hasn’t featured for the Hammers since before the international break.

Moyes will otherwise have a full squad to choose from in Belgium, whilst he has also called up youngster Divin Mubama who has scored 26 goals in 31 appearances among the youth ranks this season.
