Tottenham stars secretly backing blockbuster ‘£3.75 billion takeover’ bid after returning to London

Some Tottenham Hotspur players are secretly hoping that the current owners Joe Lewis and chairman Daniel Levy agree to selling the club, LondonWorld.com has been told.

The Financial Times are reporting that Iranian-American billionaire Jahm Najafi is preparing a blockbuster $3.75bn deal and will approach the club in the coming weeks to begin discussions.

The ENIC group currently holds almost 86% of the shares in the club and they have built one of the best stadia in the world where Spurs play their Premier League and European games.

But recently agitations has been that the club has not won any trophies despite hiring proven winners like Jose Mourinho and even presently Antonio Conte. Part of the reason for the lack of trophies they claim has been the lack of huge funds made available to bring in players and and compete with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

According to LondonWorld.com’s sources the team arrived back in the UK this morning after their 1-0 defeat to AC Milan in the Champions to the news of the possible take over which has lit up their faces. Some of the homegrown players also coming through were excited about the reports this morning.

Tottenham have world class stars like Harry Kane and Son Heung-min  but have consistently come up short when it matters the most, the recent Newcastle takeover by  Public Investment Fund (PIF) has further raised the competition for places and titles in the league.

Chairman Daniel Levy has come under fire in recent years as the club has not won a trophy since they won the League Cup in 2008.

Manager Antonio Conte’s long-term future at the club is still up in the air despite leading the club to Champions League football and now the Financial Times report that Najafi who is a minority shareholder in NBA team Phoenix Suns could be the saviour to many Spurs fans.
