Tottenham star Dejab Kulusevski says it makes a big difference that they don’t have Champions League football this season and that should play to their advantage especially at a time most of their competitors are traveling up and down Europe.

The Lilywhites will take on Crystal Palace on Friday night an could go five points clear of second-placed Manchster City if they get a win.

They are already on their best start to a Premier League campiagn and Ange Postecoglou has broken the record as the first manager in the league to take 23 points from his first nine league games, not even Pep Guardiola or Mikel Arteta could get that.

There is growing belief within the squad that this season could be special and Swedish forward Dejan Kulusevski who admits to enjoying his game again says the lack of European competition will go in their favour.

He told said: “It does for sure. You can feel the difference and hopefully, you will see it even more at the end of the season.

“It helps a lot, honestly. Physically, I remember last season was very hard playing three games a week. You feel very tired in the warm-ups!

“Also, mentally, not having to travel to Spain or Italy to play games helps. You are at home, with your family, you have a good rest mentally, also. So it is a huge thing that we have and we have to take advantage of that this year.”
