Video: Tottenham's year reviewed after Antonio Conte disaster and Ange Postecoglou hope

Tottenham Hotspur have endured a year of mixed fortunes. 2023 began with the dark days of Antonio Conte's final weeks, the Italian parting company with the club after a press conference tirade following a 3-3 draw at Southampton.

Spurs plunged new depths when his former assistant Christian Stellini was appointed interim head coach yet lasted just four games - his swansong an embarrassing 6-1 loss at Newcastle where they were 5-0 down after 20 minutes.

The atmosphere was toxic. Fans felt angry, dismayed, and disconnected with the state of the club both on and off the pitch. Yet how quickly things can change. Step forward Ange Postecoglou. The likeable Australian has transformed Tottenham seemingly overnight. It's like night and day. The club has been transformed, re-energised, re-connected and, importantly, the football has been outstanding.
