Another Tottenham exit is confirmed quickly after agreeing deal with Championship side

Alfie Devine will spend the second half of the 2023/24 season at Championship side Plymouth Argyle.

Tottenham have confirmed they've recalled promising youngster Alfie Devine from League One side Port Vale and sent him out on loan at Plymouth Argyle. Spurs recalled him on Wednesday and struck the deal on the same day after all parties agreed that was the next step of Devine's development.

He joined Port Vale last summer and wasted little time in settling in, first, assisting the goal that brought his side level before a stoppage-time penalty helped them to a 2-1 win over Oxford on his debut.

He was at it again helping the Valiants reach the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup for the first time in their history by scoring against Mansfield Town. Season-defining goals and performances meant he continued to gain minutes he needed to develop before Spurs decided they had seen enough of him at League One and wanted him in the Championship.

Devine's move to the south coast sees him reunited with fellow Tottenham youngster Ashley Phillips who made the move to Home Park last week.

This transfer window has been a busy one for Spurs who have already welcomed both Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin to boost their squad ahead of the second half of the league campaign.

On the exit front, they have seen Sergio Reguilon who initially joined Manchester United on a season-long-loan return after just six months but he's now set to go out on loan at Premier League side Brentford

The Spanish left-back is expected to also stay in west London for the second half of the season before returning to north London in the summer.
