Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a few potential transfer targets as the January window is just hours away from opening its doors. However, there are also rumours that Spurs could be set to let a certain player go very soon.

Rumblings of a training ground “bust up” with one of Spurs’ first team full backs have been circling recently. Reportedly, Spurs are looking to move the player in question to another club, but have yet to comment on the situation.

Elsewhere, the North London club are also reportedly keen to bring a Moroccan star to the World Cup. He was one of Morocco’s best players in Qatar, earning him the praise of several pundits and commentators. The Atlas Lions shocked the world as they became the first African team to reach a World Cup semi final, where they were beaten by France.

Spurs reportedly looking to sell Emerson Royal

Emerson Royal has been at the centre of a “training ground disagreement” with a “member of the first team coaching staff” according to Football Insider. As a result, Spurs are reportedly “ready to sell” the Brazilian right back.

Spurs are yet to make the situation public. Despite this, Football Insider notes that they will be listening to offers for his services in January.

Emerson Royal, 23, signed for Tottenham back in 2021 for a fee of around £25.8 million. So far this season, he has yet to score a goal and only has a single assist to his name in the Premier League.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Spurs are looking at Sofyan Amrabat. A highly rated defensive midfielder, he is also reportedly in the crosshairs of Liverpool.

Amrabat was sensational for Morocco at the World Cup. He didn’t score any goals or register any assists, but his omnipresence in midfield made the Atlas Lions incredibly difficult to break down. Currently at Fiorentina, his contract expires in June 2024. The Italian club have reportedly slapped a price tag of around £35 million on him - is this a price that Spurs will be willing to pay?
