Tottenham have emphasised how health is the most important thing and would give their manager all the time he needs to recover.

Stellini, who has worked with Conte almost all his life, is in constant touch with his boss back in Italy and says he’s tried to shut off completely.

He told reporters ahead of the game against West Ham: “We call many times in a day maybe three times a day and he wants to come back. He repeats all the time , I want to come how was the training and what do you think.

“He wants to come back in the feeling we have but that is the way he is as a person and with work. Health is more important than football and that is why he and the club and everyone has decided to leave him out.

“No new injuries but we have Sessegnon with a problem but that is no new so I can say that we have no new injuries.”
