Hide AdThe only downside of the day’s work would have been the injury to Bissouma, which the boss said might just be down to fatigue. He told reporters after the game: “He did all the runs at the end. Think he was exhausted. I haven’t picked up anything from the medics.
“It’s fair to say they’ll be exhausted after what we’ve done in the last three days but I don’t think there’s any issues.”
The game against Lion City was quickly arranged after Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma pulled out of an arranged match at the last minute, with Spurs needing the local side to step in and give them a good test.
