Tottenham player ratings: Harry Kane frustrated as Spurs lose at home to Brighton Hove and Albion

Tottenham blow up chance with defeat to Brighton at home in the Premier League.

Leandro Trossard got the all important goal for the visitors in the 90th minute after the visitors had threatened Spurs all game and just about deserved the win.

The midfield of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur were nailed by the impressive Yves Bissouma who produced one of his best displays this season to the frustration of the Tottenham fans who came looking for three points that would help push them to a top four finish.

It was a particularly frustrating afternoon for Antonio Conte who has seen a real improvement in his team these last days but would have been disappointed with the way they surrendered against Brighton.

The number 10 role Harry Kane usually drops in to link-up play and set up his partner in crime, Son Heung-min was dominated by Yves Bissouma which would have frustrated the England captain as he desperately tried to get himself in the game in the second half.

The race for Champions League spot continues to swing from one team to the other and it will be interesting to see how Arsenal get on against Southampton later on in the day.

But in what was a disappointing outing for the Lillywhites, this is how we rated them on a disappointing afternoon.
