Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are back in action midweek after both picking up wins in their fourth match of the Premier League campaign.

The Blues will travel to the coast to take on Southampton tonight in their first away match since the 3-0 defeat to Leeds United, while Spurs will take the short trip to West Ham as they look to make it 11 Premier League games unbeaten.

With only a matter of days to go until transfer deadline day, here is the latest news regarding both clubs...

Tottenham ‘pushing’ for Yannick Carrasco

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in talks with Atleitco Madrid over a move for Yannick Carrasco, according to The Telegraph.

Antonio Conte’s side were previously close to a deal for Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo and were keen to play him as a wing-back, however the deal collapsed and they have been forced to look elsewhere.

The North London club will also look to move Carrasco into a wing-back role and the Belgian has plenty of experience in that position.

The 28-year-old has a £51 million release clause in his contract, however reports claim that the Atleti are willing to sell Carrasco for around £25m.

Brighton ‘target’ Chelsea outcast

Brighton & Hove Albion are looking to bring in Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour, according to reports.

The Seagulls are yet to replace Yves Bissouma following his move to Tottenham and are eager to bring in the 21-year-old, who is yet to feature under Conte.

It was confirmed in June that Chelsea had exercised the option to extend Gilmour’s contract until 2024, however The Athletic have claimed they would be open to loaning him out to another Premier League club for the 2022/23 season.

The Scotland international failed to impress during his loan spell with Norwich City last time out as they were relegated to the Championship.
