However Leicester are bracing themselves for a summer bid from both Manchester City and Tottenham- but it is reported that Spurs are strong favourites with the London club holding secret talks with the English midfielder already.

Maddison has scored 54 goals and provided 39 assists in 190 appearances for Leicester- he also made the England squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

The attacking midfielder has 18 months left on his current deal and according to Football Insider Leicester will demand around £60 million from clubs who would require his services.

There have been interest also from abroad with Bayern Munich and AS Roma all mentioned in the past, but sources close to the player say he will prefer to stay in the Premier League with a move to London a big attraction.

A lot of Tottenham’s summer business will also be focused on the future of manager Antonio Conte- who is yet to commit his long term stay at club, once they get him to sign- all the attention will turn to bringing in his targets which LondonWorld.com understand Maddison is top of the list.
