A look at the Tottenham injury situation as they head into the international break.

Tottenham continue to struggle amid a disappointing start to the season that sees them go into the last international break of 2024 in 10th place, losing to Ipswich Town over the weekend. But the good news is that the top four race has been a slow one so far, and fourth place is just two points away despite Spurs’ poor form.

Ange Postecoglou’s men face Manchester City and Fulham on the other side of the break, but in the meantime, we have rounded up the latest injury news and possible return dates.

Micky van de Ven

Postecoglou has said of van de Ven’s thigh injury: “Yeah, it will be after the international break. Exactly when will be dictated by his progress during that time. We will have to see.” Thigh injuries can be particularly problematic for quick players, and so it’s difficult to put any kind of timeline on his return,

Timo Werner

Werner picked up a groin injury ahead of the Ipswich game that kept him out. He is likely to return after the break.

Possible return date: November 23 vs Manchester City

Mikey Moore

Moore missed out over the weekend with illness and is expected to be back over the course of the breka.

Richarlison

Richarlison is out with a thigh injury, with Postecoglou saying last week: “Richy, with his hamstring, he’ll be out for a little while. We’re still getting the final information, but he’ll be out for a little while.”

Wilson Odobert

Odobert is another who is struggling with a thigh injury. His return timeline is not clear at this point. Postecoglou said in late October: “The only other one missing out which is a bit of a disappointment is Wilson, who has had a setback during the week and it seems like it is a serious one so we're just waiting for more information.”

Possible return date: Unknown
