Tottenham are back in action on Saturday when they face Everton at home.

It has been a good week for Antonio Conte’s men, who defeated Brighton away from home last week, ahead of winning a key Champions League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Spurs needed the pick-me-up after suffering defeat in the north London derby, and they remain on the edge of the title race at this early stage.

This weekend, Tottenham take on an Everton side who have been in pretty good form of late, though, they did lose to Manchester United last time out. Ahead of that clash, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Spurs:

Gvardiol links

Tottenham are still said to be monitoring RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol.

According to Football Insider, Spurs scouts watched Gvardiol in action against Celtic in the Champions League during the week.

Conte is said to want to add another defender to his ranks, likely in the summer when Clement Lenglet returns to Barcelona.

Gvardiol only recently signed a new contract with Leipzig, tying him down long-term, but it’s reported he has a £44million release clause, putting him within reach for Tottenham.

Milinkovic-Savic blow

Tottenham have suffered a blow in their reported bid to sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Spurs have been linked with a move for the midfielder in the past, but it seems he will be too pricey.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has said: “I’ve no agreement with his agent to sell Sergej to Juventus or any other club in January. Price tag for Milinković is no longer €100 million (£87.5m) — his value is €120 million (£105m) now.”

That price tag that will likely be enough to force Tottenham to look elsewhere, despite reports suggesting Conte is a huge fan of the Lazio star.
