Tottenham will be without their impressive Israeli forward Manor Solomon for a while after his injury in training.

Tottenham have confirmed forward Manor Solomon has undergone surgery after injuring his knee in training but stopped short of putting a time frame on when he will return.

The Israeli forward impressed against Liverpool when he replaced captain Son Heung-min for the last 20 minutes of that dramatic win last weekend.

But his start to life in north London will be cut after an injury in training meant he will miss the visit to Luton and subsequently the games after the international break.

A club statement confirmed: “We can confirm that Manor Solomon suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee in training this week.

“The forward has undergone surgery today and will commence his rehabilitation with our medical staff immediately. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Manor!”

The 24-year-old has made two Premier League starts so far this season, having joined Tottenham in the summer as a free agent, with three further appearances off the bench and he has impressed when given opportunities by Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs already have Brennan Johnson who missed the game against Liverpool looking to return against the Hatters while the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon are looking like they could be back after the international break.

This start to the season has been one of the best for the Lilywhites with five wins from ther first seven games and just two draws going into the second international break of the campaign.

Manager Ange Postecoglou is expected to provide further updates on injury news when he speaks to the press later today.
