Tottenham are closing in on appointing Antonio Conte to replace Nuno Espirito Santo, sources have told LondonWorld.

The Portuguese manager was sacked today after a 3-0 defeat against Manchester United on Saturday at the Tottenham Stadium.

The former Wolves boss won five and lost five of his first 10 games, including a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby.

Spurs are confident they will be able to hire the Italian this time.

On Sunday, after a board meeting, managing director Fabio Paratici began hitting the phones to speak to Conte‘s representatives.

By midnight, they had made progress with the Italian manager and informed Nuno of his fate.

Sky Italia has reported Conte is flying into London today, with Spurs now confident of landing their man.
