Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has vowed not to lose sleep over constant reports linking captain and striker Harry Kane with a move to German side Bayern Munich in the coming days.

Kane in the last 12 months of his contract in north London captained the Spurs team against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, scoring four goals in a 5-1 win. Dane Scarlett got the other- while Kevin Kelsy got the goal for the Ukranians.

There is so much noise around Kane at the moment with Bayern submitting a tempting £86m bid for the striker as they look to take him to the Bundesliga. One thing is certain, Kane will score goals given how Ange Postecoglou has set up this Tottenham team. The manager is hoping to have the England star by the time the Premier League season starts.

He told reporters after the game in north London: “There’s no doubt that I would use Harry, I don’t need today to tell me that. He’s a fantastic striker, one of the world’s best.

“I think the way the team plays will help him as well. He loves scoring goals and you saw today we created a load of chances and he was the beneficiary of that.

“I certainly wouldn’t talk about contracted players at other clubs. I’m not at Bayern though so they can do what they want.”

Kane bagged 30 goals last season despite Tottenham finishing eighth in the league- he will travel with the Spurs team to Barcelona this week before hopefully having his future sorted out by the time they face Brentford next weekend.
