Tottenham striker will put all transfer talks behind him if he’s still at Spurs at the start of the new Premier League campaign.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane will reportedly not leave the club if he is still on their books at the start of the season according to the Evening Standard.

Kane is wanted by Bayern Munich but the German side have seen two offers with the last one in the region of £65million including add-ons rejected by Tottenham.

Bayern bosses including Jan-Christian Dreesen, the Bayern chief executive, and Marco Neppe, their technical director held a meeting with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and talks were said to be positive even though they couldn’t agree on a deal.

Talks are expected to continue throughout the summer but Kane is said to have told his close circle that he will not leave Spurs if a deal is not agreed before the start of the season which is an away game against Brentford on August the 13th.

This latest move will either get Tottenham to try to find a middle ground where a sale can be made or leave Bayern Munich needing to show their wallet and get the deal done as soon as possible to close the chapter.

Tottenham's new boss Ange Postecoglou has reiterated the importance of Kane to his team even though he has also stated the need to build a team that just doesn’t solely rely on an individual after taking over this summer.

Bayern have jumped ahead of Manchester United as the team to likely sign Kane with Levy reportedly happy to let him leave for a team abroad rather than sell him to a direct rival like they did in the past with Teddy Sheringham.

Kane is in the final 12 months of his contract and Spurs risk losing him for nothing next summer, he is also able to even agree on a pre-contract with teams abroad in six months' time.
