All the latest injury news ahead of Tottenham’s FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Tottenham return to action on Saturday when they face Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round. Spurs are in a sticky situation, and they could really do with a win here, losing to AFC Bournemouth during the week to continue their slide down the Premier League table.

Thomas Frank is now under real pressure, but the man in the opposing dugout is in a very different situation having led Aston Villa to 13 wins in their last 15 games across all competitions. Villa will be favourites here, and ahead of the clash, we have rounded up the latest injury news surrounding both teams.

Ross Barkley - Out

Barkley is out until February with a knee issue.

Amadou Onana - Out

Onana is expected to be out towards the end of the month with a hamstring issue.

Evann Guessand - Out (International)

Guessand is away for the African Cup of Nations.

Emiliano Martinez - Doubt

Emery has said this week: “He played on Wednesday, knowing he has a small injury, and he [made] the effort to play. The first half he was not feeling good. It was his choice to play the second half, but because [of] the risk, we decided with the doctor to stop him.”

Pau Torres - Fit

Torres returned to the bench last time out and should be fit to play here.

Tyrone Mings - Doubt

Mings did not beat the clock last time out despite having a chance of returning. He may have a better chance of returning here.

Lucas Bergvall - Doubt

Frank has said: “Lucas is being assessed today. We will know more later today with him.”

Rodrigo Bentancur - Out

Frank has confirmed ahead of this one: “Rodri has a hamstring injury - looks like a bigger one, unfortunately. We don’t know the time frame. That we will know later.”

Mohammed Kudus - Out

Kudus has now been ruled out for months with a hamstring issue. Frank has confirmed: “Mohammed, unfortunately, is a bigger one to the tendon in the quad. That is one where we expect him back after the March international break.”

Pape Matar Sarr - Out (International)

Sarr has jetted off for the African Cup of Nations and will be absent from club duties.

Dominic Solanke - Out

Frank has said: “Both of them are getting closer. Destiny, a bit closer than Dom (Solanke), obviously, because he's only been out for five weeks(ish). So that's, of course, less than six months - both are positive and improving.”

Destiny Udogie - Out

The above update also includes Udogie.

Dejan Kulusevski - Out

Frank has said: “We know it is a complicated injury. If there is one person who can accelerate that [recovery], it is Dejan. The most important thing is to remove the pain in the knee. He had an injection to help that ten days ago. We will know in 3-4 weeks if that has settled. And when it has settled, hopefully, he will be on the grass and from there, we will see what is happening.”

Yves Bissouma - Out (International)

Bissouma is away for the African Cup of Nations.

James Maddison - Out

Maddison is out for much - if not all - of the season with a knee injury. Frank said in December: “It's very early stages. It's still a long-term injury, so it's good to see him out there, but very early stages. There's no specific time frame. It will be a long time, unfortunately, before he's available.”
