Sessegnon, Romero and Gil potential return dates for injured Tottenham stars ahead of Crystal Palace game

Antonio Conte almost has a full squad to choose from, with all the players and staff who tested positive with Covid returning negative tests.

Everything seems to be coming together for Tottenham and Antonio Conte at the right time.

After the Covid scare, the team has gone on to record important and impressive draw against high-flying Liverpool in the league and West Ham in the EFL Cup.

There is little time for the Italian manager to rest on his laurels, as he has to quickly prepare a team to take on Crystal Palace on Boxing Day.

But which players are pushing hard in the gym to return to the full squad to help the team.

The defender, 23, damaged his left hamstring during Argentina’s 0-0 draw with Brazil on November 16 and has been out since.

Conte said back then that his chances of returning to the pitch this year were quite slim.

He said: "Now he is trying to recover, but he needs a long time to recover.

"It is a pity because he is an important player for us, the injury is very serious.

"It will take time before we see him again. We have to check his injury week by week. We have to wait and recover well."

But there is good news on the way, the defender is likely to return to pitch training mid January and should be pushing for a return late January.

Bryan Gil

The 20-year-old Spanish winger has had his own injury issues since moving to the capital in the summer.

He picked up a knock during the Carabao Cup win against Burnley, and then caught Covid.

He is back to training with the team and is pushing to get back into the match day squad, and the game against Crystal Palace is the next opportunity to do that.

Potential return date: Crystal Palace (H) December 26

Ryan Sessegnon

After impressing heavily against Liverpool, Sessegnon was out with a knock that has kept him out of the EFL Cup game against West Ham.

Conte did not give much away when speaking about why he was not in the squad and how severe the injury was, which could suggest it wasn’t a long term injury.

This latest injury is quite unfortunate as there is a genuine interest in the coaching staff to get him up to speed and give competition to Sergio Reguilon at left-wing back.

Potential return date: Southampton (A) December 28
