Next Tottenham Manager: Tim Sherwood responds to links as Thomas Frank replacement
Thomas Frank is set to remain in charge of Spurs for the trip to Burnley but pressure continues to grow.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank bought himself some much-needed time with a convincing 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.

That victory came after the painful 2-1 defeat to struggling West Ham with Spurs now without a league win since the end of December. Frank’s side have slumped to 14th in the table ahead of facing Burnley this weekend.
TEAMtalk journalist Dean Jones had claimed that Frank would be sacked after this week’s Champions League match, no matter the result. However, the feeling now is that the midweek victory means that the former Brentford man will still be in charge for the trip to Turf Moor.
Tim Sherwood linked with Tottenham Hotspur job
Anything but a win against the 19th-placed side is likely to spell trouble for Frank and leave Spurs looking for a replacement. Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara had told Sky Sports that he would love to see Tim Sherwood back at the club.
Sherwood has taken over with the club in crisis before, stepping up following the departure of Andre Villas-Boas in December 2013. The manager was eventually sacked in May 2014 but left with the club’s best home win record at 73 per cent.
Speaking on Sky Sports on Thursday, Sherwood was asked whether he would take the job. He said: “It's a little bit disrespectful, they've got a man charge there already, Thomas is there and he's under enough pressure as it is so it's very difficult. If they was to get rid of him and come back to me... I would say, what does success look like?”
Sherwood outlines Spurs recruitment issues
The manager outlined that the demands of Tottenham Hotspur could put off any potential candidates for the job. He added: “I would say we have more chance of doing that by winning the Champions League than we have through the league position at the moment, it's very difficult.
“If you said to me, we want to go and play a more attacking style of football and score my goals, I'd say I'd be able to achieve that.
“If you said to me, put some academy boys on the pitch without the detriment of results, I'd be able to do that as well. But I couldn't guarantee you Champions League. If you said to me Europa League, I'd be willing to do that job. Unrealistic expectations is what would put managers off that job.”
In other news, Tottenham handed another major injury blow as 'very talented' player could miss three months.
