Fresh Tottenham injury blow ahead of Leicester City with star man set for 6-8 weeks out

Tottenham’s preparing for the game against Leicester has been disrupted by news that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could be out for months.

Tottenham have been dealt with a late blow to captain Hugo Lloris who has picked up a knee injury and could be out for almost two months.

The 2018 French World cup winner was in post in the impressive 1-0 win over Manchester city over the weekend but appears to have injured his knee and would be out of action for a while according to a report by the Telegraph.

Hugo is the club captain and highly respected everywhere he goes and even though some of his recent performances have not been up to his usual standard-an injury to him at this stage of the season where Tottenham have season defining games will come as a blow to the club.

The Lilywhites have their Champions League game against AC Milan to come as well as league games against Leicester, West Ham and Chelsea that could shape where they finish at the end of the current campaign.

In his absence Tottenham’s summer signing Fraser Forster is now set to get his chance having made his one and only Premier League appearance for the Lilywhites in the 2-2 draw against Brentford when the league resumed after the World Cup break.

Londonworld understands this summer- Tottenham will try to look for a long-term replacement the Frenchgoalkeeper aged 36 with Everton’s Jordan Pickford and Brentford’s David Raya amongst shot stoppers they are looking at.

Hugo recently retired from the French national team after their World Cup final defeat to Argentina as he looks to concentrate on his final years at Tottenham.
