Tottenham will travel to the King Power stadium this weekend full of confidence after a morale-boosting win against Premier League Champions Manchester City.

Harry Kane was the hero of the day, scoring brilliantly to seal the win, and by doing so becoming the latest member of the Premier League Club 200. Only Alan Shearer 260 and Wayne Rooney 208 have reached such heights in Premier League history.

The England captain also became Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer with his 267 goals, taking him clear of the legendary Jimmy Greaves.

All that was achieved while manager Antonio Conte was in Italy recovering from having an operation to remove his gallbladder last week.

The good news is that the Italian manager just missed the game against City by the skin of his teeth and should be back in England latest by Friday to take his role as Tottenham head coach.

Antonio was in touch with assistant Cristian Stellini throughout the game, but the resilient Italian manager would want to get back at it straight away especially in a month that is crucial to the success of their season.

Spurs have a press conference for the game on Thursday afternoon but the club have not confirmed who will be in charge, an indication that they are waiting to see if their Italian boss will be back in the country before then.

Another positive look for Spurs was the return of Lucas Moura who has battled tendon issues for large parts of the season, he was back amongst his mates over the weekend and was seen having fun with Harry Kane after the striker made history as the club’s leading scorer.

In what are his last days at the club, the Brazilian will  be hoping that he gets a few minutes at the King Power and helps his mates before leaving Tottenham in the summer.
