Spurs played Pompey in the FA Cup yesterday and won 1-0. Striker Harry Kane scored the only goal of the game for the hosts to send them into the next round.

Keane, 42, hung up his boots back in 2018 and has since delved into the coaching world. His first role came in India as player-coach at ATK before he became the assistant manager of the Republic of Ireland national team. He then spent time as the number two at Middlesbrough in the Championship but is currently out of work as he hunts for his next opportunity.

Spurs first signed him as a player back in 2002 from Leeds United and he scored 107 goals in 254 games for the London club in all competitions before he was lured away by Liverpool. However, his time at Anfield didn’t work out and he returned to White Hart Lane seven months later.

Keane fired 15 goals in 52 appearances during his second spell before going on to have stints at Celtic, West Ham, LA Galaxy and Aston Villa. He now wants to become a manager and is being considered by Portsmouth in the third tier.
