Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper wants to carefully integrate former Chelsea winger Callum Hudson Odoi into the starting eleven despite leaving him on the bench as his side battled to a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League last weekend.

Forest had lost their last four games ahead of the visit to the Molineux Stadium including a 5-0 thrashing to Fulham, a game which Odoi started. They fought and showed spirit and desire, which nearly got them all three points at Wolves.

The improved performance ensured they got a point away from home, their first in six games which was partly down to the five changes Cooper made including leaving out summer signing Odoi. There had been talks that the Welsh manager had lost the dressing room but his decision to ring the changes paid off.

“We did some stuff last year when we found ourselves in the same position. It was just an example of that so we brought in some of the players who haven't played much to show us if they wanted more and of course for us he's a brilliant player and will get his chance," Copper told reporters after the game last weekend when asked about Odoi.

The 23-year-old has one goal in the seven league games he's played for the two-time European Cup winners but will hope that his manager's comments are a sign of good things to come for him.

Tottenham beat Newcastle 4-1 to stop the rot of their bad form and come into Friday's game as huge favourites as they look to get back to competing for a spot in next season's Champions League.
