Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says defender Destiny Udogie still has a chance to play in the game on Monday night.

Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie picked up an ankle ligament injury in the game against Fulham. That meant he missed the game against Crystal Palace and is still doubtful about the big one against Chelsea on Monday night.

Spurs manager admitted the defender was a massive part of what they have been doing at the club and also revealed he was working his way back to fitness and could still play on Monday night.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou told the press ahead of the game on Monday night: “Obviously a bit unusual because we’ve still got a few days.

“But at this stage from last week everyone got through the (Crystal Palace) game okay,” he said when speaking to the media. “Benny Davies, who came off at half-time, still has a bit of an ankle problem and hasn’t trained with the team yet so he’s touch and go.”

Tottenham are unbeaten in their first 10 games of the season, winning the first eight and drawing two while Chelsea have managed just three wins, losing four and drawing three of theirs.

The return of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino who is now in charge of Chelsea is likely to pour more fuel on fire with a charged atmosphere expected.

But Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has insisted Pochettino did a brilliant work while at the club and its easy to see so he expects the fans and everyone to welcome him even though he does not expect anyone to give him a guard of honour.
