Dejan Kulusevski has hailed his Tottenham Hotspur teammate Rodrigo Bentancur as ‘one of the most underrated players in the world’ following their win over Leeds United.
The midfielder joined Spurs from Juventus in January alongside loanee Kulusevski and has impressed this season under Antonio Conte. In a dramatic 4-3 victory over Leeds on Saturday, Bentancur netted twice to take them ahead on home turf. It wasn’t the first time he had spared their blushes, having scored a stoppage time winner against Bournemouth and a late equaliser against Sporting Lisbon last month.

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day after this weekend’s clash, Kulusevski said: “When we were 3-3 I said in my head that the next time I get the ball I am going to shoot and I am going to score.
“But then it was a different situation and I saw Rodri alone, and I just pray to God that he will score and he did. He is a fantastic player, one of the most underrated players in the world. I am very happy for him.”

The pair spent two years together at Juve but both moved to the Premier League as they looked to improve their form and pick up some more game time - with both players having a huge impact since their move to the English capital. Despite a tricky start to this season for Kulusevski, the 22-year-old has scored six goals and provided 13 assists in only 27 league appearances for Spurs.
