Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alfie Devine is reportedly talking to ‘multiple’ EFL clubs at the moment. The youngster is expected to head out the exit door on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.

He has been given the green light to temporarily depart, according to a report by Football Insider. The 18-year-old is highly-rated by the Premier League side and is being tipped for a bright future.

Devine has been on the books at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since 2020 and has been a key player for the London outfit at U23 level so far. Prior to his move down to London, the Warrington-born man had spells near home at both Liverpool and Wigan Athletic.

He was handed his first-team debut by Spurs in January 2021 as a substitute in the FA Cup away at non-league Marine at the age of just 16 and scored. However, that is his only appearance for them to date and he is patiently waiting on his next.

A loan exit this winter would help him get some more experience under his belt and a taste of regular football. It remains to be seen whether he will drop into the Championship, League One or League Two and Spurs have a big decision to make over the coming weeks as to where to send him.

Antonio Conte’s side are in action this weekend at home to Leeds United. They will be looking to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup last time out.
