Sky Germany have reported The Bees have made an opening offer to the Bundesliga club after he impressed during a season-long loan spell at Stuttgart.
The 23-year-old forward scored three goals and created five assists in 21 appearances as his temporary employers dramatically avoided relegation on the final day of the season.

Hide AdMarmoush has now returned to Wolfsburg but his future could now lie in England as interest in his services gathers pace.
Speaking to Bild in the latter part of last season, the Egypt international spoke of his ‘dream’ of playing in the Premier League.
He said: “Sure, I still have a year’s contract in Wolfsburg and I’m going back there in the summer.

“In Wolfsburg I didn’t get a chance to show myself for a longer period of time.”
Significantly, Marmoush only has one year left on his current deal at Wolfsburg and although the Bundesliga club are keen to offer a new contract, it seems likely the forward will depart this summer.

Hide AdSpurs defender wanted by Premier League duo
Antonio Conte faces a big decision over the coming days as one of his defenders attracts interest from two of Italy’s biggest clubs.
talkSPORT reported Spurs are willing to loan out Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga over the last week - and it is the latter that has attracted interest from the Premier League and abroad.
Everton and Southampton are said to have registered an interest in the England Under-21 star but face competition from Serie A duo Napoli and AC Milan.
SportItalia journalist Gianluigi Longari has suggested Tanganga has already held talks with Milan and is ‘seduced’ by the idea of playing in Italy.
