In his absence Tottenham could only manage a point after a pulsating 3-3 draw with relegation threatened Southampton despite being 3-1 ahead at some points.

Former Everton man Richarlison- joined Spurs in a £ 60 million deal in the summer impressed early on especially in the Champions League where he scored two goals against Marseille at the group stage, but he’s since failed to deliver on his potential playing a key role.

Antonio Conte, who is quite desperate to get the Brazilian back to his best, tried to console him as he walked off before admitting that non of his players are playing for the badge.

He told reporters: “They’re used to it here. Don’t play for something important. They don’t want to play under pressure. They don’t want to play under stress.”
