Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR early team news as 3 outs and 2 doubts including Owls' summer signings

QPR will look to continue where they left off as the Championship returns this weekend following the international break.
Marti Cifuentes' side picked up their first league victory against Luton Town at the end of August and are now unbeaten in five across all competitions after losing to West Brom on the opening day of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday team news
The hosts are sweating over the fitness of summer signing Yan Valery ahead of welcoming QPR this weekend. The former Southampton main has been a mainstay for the Owls so far this season but is a 'major doubt' according to The Star.
Valery was forced to miss Tunisia's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Gambia during the break with a minor calf tear. An update from the Tunisian Football Federation said: “After the training session on Tuesday evening, the player Yan Valery felt some sharp pain in the calf, the doctor of the national team decided to subject him to MRI, which proved that he suffers a minor tear, which deserves a medical rest. Therefore, he will not be in the fault of the technical framework of the national team in the next two matches.”
Nathaniel Chalobah, who also signed for Danny Rohl's side this summer, is another doubt as he nurses a calf injury. Speaking ahead of the defeat to Millwall at the end of August, Rohl said: “For Nath it is a big, big pity. He will be out for a couple of weeks again, it was a shame after the game and when I got the message I was really sad about this situation. But this is football, sometimes it is not fair and for me it is about staying together, helping him and we will do it and bring him stronger back.”

QPR team news
The main injury concern for QPR continues to be influential winger Ilias Chair. The Morocco international is yet to feature this term after picking up an injury during pre-season preparations.

There are yet to be any suggestions that the 26-year-old, who registered seven goals and eight assists last term, is close to an imminent return. Chair had been involved in pre-season preparations but was absent from friendlies against Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton and Reading. Speaking on that injury last month, Cifuentes said: “Perhaps we thought it could be less aggressive, but unfortunately it’s a lower back issue that will keep him away for some more weeks.
“I said we were waiting for some tests – and unfortunately the tests showed the development is more or less as we expected. I’m always optimistic and thought it might be a faster process, but the reality is that it’s a bone bruise and it takes time.”
