QPR team news
QPR have a fresh injury concern after midfielder Sam Field was forced off at half time against Sheffield Wednesday last time out. The 26-year-old was involved in a collision during the first half.
The player looks set to be a doubt for Crystal Palace with such a quick turnaround. Speaking after the draw at Hillsborough, Marti Cifuentes said: “Sam was feeling dizzy. He is a warrior and he tried his best to make it through to half-time, he needed to come off and rest up."
Meanwhile, centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter was absent from the matchday squad against the Owls. That was due to a 'small feeling in his calf' during the international break and the R's boss hopes 'he'll be back soon'.

Hide AdA similar cryptic timeframe was given to Liam Morrison with the defender missing out on Scotland international duty because of a knee niggle. Cifuentes added: "They are important players for us, but credit to Jimmy Dunne, who moved across to the centre today, as well as Hevertton Santos who came in at right-back - they both did well.”
The influential Ilias Chair remains a longer term absentee. The Morocco international is yet to feature this term after picking up an injury during pre-season preparations.

There are yet to be any suggestions that the 26-year-old, who registered seven goals and eight assists last term, is close to an imminent return. Chair had been involved in pre-season preparations but was absent from friendlies against Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton and Reading. Speaking on that injury last month, Cifuentes said: “Perhaps we thought it could be less aggressive, but unfortunately it’s a lower back issue that will keep him away for some more weeks.
“I said we were waiting for some tests – and unfortunately the tests showed the development is more or less as we expected. I’m always optimistic and thought it might be a faster process, but the reality is that it’s a bone bruise and it takes time.”

Crystal Palace team news
Cheick Doucoure made his first Crystal Palace start since rupturing his Achilles in November 2023 against Leicester City last time out. The 24-year-old was subbed at half time.
Explaining what happened after the match, Oliver Glasner said: “It was an injury. It was something with his toe. We will look tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Trevoh Chalobah is yet to make his Eagles debut due to an abdominal injury and isn't expected to be fit until the end of the month. Chadi Riad and Matheus Franca are also set to miss out on the visit to Loftus Road.
