Fulham have had a free weekend as they prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur on Monday evening. It has been a quiet January transfer window so far for the Cottagers. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club...

Preston North End midfielder Ben Whiteman has emerged on Marco Silva’s shortlist of potential transfer targets according to a report by The Sun. The former Sheffield United and Doncaster Rovers man has been a key player for the Lilywhites since joining them in 2021.

Rodrigo Muniz’s future at Middlesbrough is still up in the air. He is currently on loan with the Championship side from Craven Cottage and Teeside Live report that Boro and Fulham are working with the player’s representatives to try and find him a new home before the end of the month.

Rennes defender Hamari Traore, who has been linked with a move to the Whites this winter, is now wanted by Lyon. That’s according to Foot Mercato, who claim the Ligue 1 giants are keen to snap him up.

Arsenal are reportedly holding off on letting Cedric Soares move to Fulham until they find another right-back as they look to sign Real Vallodolid’s Ivan Fresneda, as per the Daily Mail. The Portugal international has slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium but currently provides back-up.

Full-back Kevin Mbabu is attracting interest from Germany, Italy and from the Championship, according to Sky Sports. He is poised to depart this month and was linked with Manchester United and Monza last week by TuttoMercatoWeb.

Steven Sessegnon is currently nursing a slight knee injury on loan at Charlton Athletic. His boss Dean Holden has provided this update to their club website: “We’re assessing him but it’s just an issue we’re having to manage. It’s not ideal, particularly for a young player, but his attitude is fantastic. He always puts himself up for selection when possible, but last week it was just a little bit too sore.”

Antony Knockaert picked up a knock to his foot during his time in Greece with Volos and is still waiting to make his debut for loan club Huddersfield Town, as per Yorkshire Live. The Terriers’ game against Blackpool this weekend was postponed anyway.
