Fulham are being linked with a move for Barcelona right-back Hector Bellerin. The Cottagers are in the hunt for a new right-back before the end of the January transfer window.

According to Catalunya Radio, Marco Silva’s side have shown an ‘interest’ in the former Spain international this winter. However, the report adds that he is seen as a ‘plan B’ option to top target Cedric Soares from Arsenal.

Fulham are looking for reinforcements on the right side of defence and Bellerin is someone who would fit the bill. He knows the Premier League, is a decent age at 27 and he would slot in nicely at Craven Cottage.

He joined Arsenal as a youngster back in 2011 and went on to make 239 appearances for them in all competitions, chipping in with nine goals from defence. The full-back also had loan spells away from the Emirates Stadium at Watford and Real Betis.

Barcelona swooped to land him in September after his contract with Mikel Arteta’ side expired. He has struggled for regular game time at Camp Nou though and has only played six games.

In other Fulham news, reported target Milan van Ewijk from Heerenveen has commented on the transfer speculation and has told ESPN: “Saying no to a club like that at the moment is difficult. Maybe it is the right time to make this step. I don’t know. It’s tricky. On the one hand, I would like to go, but you have to think carefully about what you are leaving behind and whether it is the right move.”
